Brian graduated from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo in 1988 with a BA in Architecture. He has since worked in San Diego with several architecture firms as well as the TrizecHahn Development Company. He started Urban Labs with partner Jack Illes in 2001 – specializing in urban infill, mixed-use, retail and hospitality projects.
In 2005, Brian Church Architecture was formed to continue mixed-use and hospitality projects while focusing on custom homes – primarily along coastal San Diego. In addition to being a licensed architect since 1990, Brian has been certified by the California Council of the American Institute of Architects as a Certified Development Strategist – to assist clients through the entire design and development process.
Greg Fine
Greg received a B.A. in Visual Arts from UCSD in 1997, and a Masters of Architecture from the New School of Architecture and Design in 2004. Greg began his career in graphic design and then between his degrees, worked with a large civil engineering firm where he gained valuable experience in construction, cost estimating and scheduling. Greg has worked with Brian Church since 2008 and his project management and design skills continue to add to the success of Brian Church Architecture.
